The monument is free on the Saturdays and Sundays of the "European Heritage Days" which are organised on the 3rd weekend of September ; the 1st Sunday of the month (from 1 February to 31 March and from 1 November to 31 December).

Guided tour of the fortifications

Be careful ! This guided tour does not include the exhibition « Little Bighorn, by Ousmane Sow ».
Discover the fortified village of Mont-Dauphin, a world heritage site as part of Vauban’s fortifications. The tour include outdoor stops (moats, fortifications), as well as indoor stops (underground passage, arsenal, gunpowder store room, etc.)
This guided tour invites you to discover the history of Mont-Dauphin and to understand the formidable defensive system imagined by Vauban.

Little Bighorn, by Ousmane Sow

Thanks to the 35 sculptures designed by Ousmane Sow, be part of the Little Bighorn battle : the last native american victory on the american federal army. In the exhibition space, you will also discover a wonderful framework dating from the 19th century.
