VISITING CONDITIONS
Climbing to the top of the South Tower is a sporting experience. A good level of physical fitness is required.

The tour comprises :
• 424 steps uphill, 69 metres high
• Some passages are narrow (45 cm) and low (need to bend down)
Take precautions!
The tour does not have a lift, water point or toilet facilities

The monument is free on the Saturdays and Sundays of the "European Heritage Days" which are organised on the 3rd weekend of September ; the 1st Sunday of the month (from 1 February to 31 March and from 1 November to 31 December).

Free tickets are available daily for all time slots open to the public for visitors who can prove they are exempt from paying admission fees. Once the quota of free tickets for a given time slot has been reached, only paid tickets can be reserved.
We encourage you to plan your visit in advance by booking your tickets ahead of time.

Weather conditions

In the event of bad weather or extreme heat, the tour route may be modified and certain areas closed for safety reasons. In hot weather, remember to wear appropriate clothing (hat, bottle of water, sun cream, etc.).

No group bookings are accepted, with the exception of groups accompanied by our educational service (school groups, after-school groups, extracurricular groups, and groups from the social, medico-social and disability sectors).
Guided tours are not permitted on the Notre-Dame Tower tour route. Tourism professionals (travel agencies, tour guides, OTAs, etc.) are not permitted to purchase tickets.
